Gae Aulenti at the Milan Triennial

Intro:

Using the Design Exhibitions tool, the Documentation Centre reccomends the exhibitio Objects and Spaces, dedicated to the design phase of a popular Italian architect.

Although she was significantly more recognized for her work as an architect, Gae Aulenti also created work in a genre that was perhaps not as recognized as the one she dedicated her career to: design. At the exhibition Gli oggeti e gli spazi (Objects and Spaces), the MIlan Trienniale honours Aulenti and her relationship with design through a selection of iconic objects created by the Italian architect between 1962 and 2008.

The exhibition, organized by Vanni Pasca according to the study project Gae Aulenti Architetti Associati, some of the highlighted pieces include the Sgarsul chair (1962), the lamp- vase Giova (1964), the Pipistrello lamp (1965), the Tavolo con Ruote table (1980) and the Tour table (1993), many of which were creations for FontanaArte.

Gae Aulenti. Objects and Spaces is recommended by the Documentation Centre of the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona using the tool  Design Exhibitions.
